Obituary for Lillie Mae King
Lillie M. King was born to John and Loretta King on July 4, 1952.  She was called home to rest on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Henrico County.  Although Lillie Mae left us, she left many great memories to be cherished.
At an early age she joined Fourth Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  She was president of the usher Board and also served on the Hospitality Committee.  Lillie Mae attended school in Nottoway County and was a graduate of Luther H. Foster.
She worked at Stackpole in Farmville, VA for many years.  When the company closed she went back to school to receive her CNA License.  After receiving her CNA License, she worked at Heritage Hall in Blackstone, VA until her health began to fail.  Lillie Mae was a dedicated and valued employee.
Lillie Mae was preceded in death by her parents, but leaves to cherish her memory:  a loving son, Donnell (Charity) King of Midlothian, VA; one grandson, Darrian King, whom she loved dearly; a loving friend, Donnell Smith; her sisters, Mary Jackson of Crewe, VA, Nancy Anderson of Jetersville, VA; Cherol Watkins of Kenbridge, VA, Margie King of Louisville, KY, Reverend Diana Oliver of Farmville, VA and Carolyn of Crewe, VA; brothers, Lawrence King of Victoria, VA, Quincy King and Norman King of Crewe, VA, John King, Jr. of Roanoke, VA; a very devoted friend, Gertrude Payne; brothers-in-law, Reverend Marvin Oliver and Willie Watkins; sisters-in-law, Valarie King and Beatrice King; one aunt, Gladys Jennings; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Fourth Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Crewe with private burial in the King-Oliver Cemetery, Crewe.
