Obituary for Lewis B. Hyde
Lewis Hyde was born on October 29, 1954,to the late Pleasant and Anna Mitchell Hyde. He had a twin sister, she preceded him in death at the age of five months.
 Lewis graduated from Amelia High School. He then entered the US Army and retired as an E6 with 20 years. Lewis was a graduate of Cochise College, with an associate degree from Sierra Vista, Arizona. He obtained a Bachelor of Science and a Masters Degree of System Engineering from Western International University.
 Lewis was owner/consultant of Telecom System LLC# Incorporated out of Houston Texas. Among all of his achievements, Lewis was first a Christian, Pastor, Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle and a close friend.
 He is also preceded in death by three brothers, William, Pleasant (Mickie) & Alvin (Man) Hyde, one sister, Ernestine (Tinnie) Hyde; his mother-in-law, Nellie Sims of Farmville VA and sister-in law Cheryl Sims of Rice VA.
 He leaves his love and memories with: his wife, Apostle Dr. Verniecer Hyde; children, Lewis Hyde Jr., Tiffany Maldonado (son-in-law, Christian Maldonado), Quincy Watkins and Ayanna Smith (son-in-law Bobby Smith III); three grandchildren Adrianna, Christian, Melody; one uncle Robert Reed (Queen); brothers-in-law, Robert Sims, Ricky Sims, Darrel Sims, Donta Sims, Jerry Combs, Howard Harris; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Combs, Kimberly Harris, Tanya Sims and a host nieces and nephews that will miss laughing and playing with uncle Lewis.
He has nine siblings whom he has left behind and will greatly miss him: Fannie Baylor of Washington, DC; Helen Phillips of Rice, VA, Catherine (George) Booker of Jetersville, VA; Esther Fleming of Powhatan, VA, Anna Epps of Baltimore, MD; Sylvia Mitchell of Jetersville, VA, Leon Hyde of Fort Washington, MD, Reginald Hyde of Amelia, VA and Bonita Redd of Farmville, VA; fond friends, Al Booker Jr., Ike Owens, Frankie Jones, Russell Redd and Walter Jasper; cousins that he grew up with and played with all the time, Carl, Colleen and Karen Brown, Howard, Clinton and Clyde Hyde and his sister & brother Bunny (Bonita) and Dale (Reginald).
Funeral Services Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, Amelia.  Interment church cemetery with full military honors.
