Obituary for Lewis A. Casper
On Thursday, January 6, 2011, the loving epistle of the life of LEWIS A. CASPER, SR. unfolded the final chapter of the book of his life as he advanced from labor to reward. Lewis was the son of the late Thelma Witcher and Henry Casper and was born on November 11, 1929.
His first marriage was to Dorothy Watson on July 3, 1953 and God blessed thim with five children, two of whom preceded him in death: Lewis Casper, Jr. and James Casper.
He later married Theresa Barbour on August 28, 1982 and God blessed them with a daughter and blessed him with eight stepchildren along with more grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Lewis was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
He leaves to Cherish his memory: his devoted wife Theresa; his children, Barbara Fowlkes (Richard), Carolyn Bradshaw-Rucker (Robert), Ronnie Casper (Beverly), and Inita Howard (Thomas); stepchildren, Raymond Barbour, Sheila Stokes (Joseph), Junious Barbour (Rosa), April Barbour, Eric Barbour (Twaila), Everette Barbour, Andrel Barbour, and Darlene Pride (Phillip); four sisters, Marie Casper, Nettie Jones, Annie Williams, and Josephine Coleman; two brothers, Alvin Witcher (Evelene) and Donald Witcher; seventeen grandchildren, twenty one step grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, eighteen step great grandchildren, fourteen great-great grandchildren, one step great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who loved and cherished him dearly.
Funeral Services Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Dominion Worship Center, Crewe with interment in the Jackson Cemetery.
