Leon Robinson, Jr. departed this life suddenly on Saturday, September 15, 2007. Buddy and Uncle Buddy as he was affectionately called by family and friends was born on February 6, 1944 to the late Leon and Lucy Robinson.He was baptized and joined the Mount Olive Baptist Church at an early age. Leon was educated in the Amelia County Public Schools, graduating from Russell Grove High School in 1962.He leaves to cherish fond memories, four daughters: Sharon Jackson (Carl), Angela Barringer (Arnold), both of Cleveland, OH; Jennifer Venable (Floyd) of Chesterfield, VA and Jordan Robinson of New Jersey; three grandchildren, Brittany and Chelsea Jackson and Jnai Venable; one brother, Richard Robinson (Marion); five sisters, Victoria Archer, Dorothy Robinson (Roosevelt), Shirley White (Raymond), Vernelle Royal (Elwood) and Beatrice Austin; a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral Services were held Saturday, September 22, 2007 from Mount Olive Baptist Church, Amelia with interment in the church cemetery.Michael W. Hawkes Funeral Home, Amelia was in charge of the arrangements.
