Obituary for Lawrence O Lingle, Jr.
Lawrence O. Lingle, Jr. of Rockville, Virginia, passed away on November 11, 2022 at Henrico Doctors' Hospital at the age of 75.
Larry grew up in Harrisburg, PA, graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1968 with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and promptly headed south for warmth and a job with Dominion Energy. Shortly after starting his career, he served his country in the Army from 1968-1971, then returned to Richmond. He retired from Dominion Energy in 2000 after a successful 32-year career.
Larry's 22 years of retirement were filled with "windshield time" traveling the country, often on a bike with his motorcycle club, photography, book collecting, and "meet and eats" with various groups of friends that enjoyed spending time with the Gentle Giant. Larry will be deeply missed by those lucky enough to have him in their lives.
Services will be held Thursday, November 17, promptly at 10:00 am at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Rd, Amelia Court House, VA, 23002.
