Obituary for Laura Booth Wallace
Laura E. Wallace was born in Richmond, Virginia on February 9, 1958, to Vivian Booth and James Holloway. She was an only child. She entered eternal rest on July 14, 2021, at her home in Marietta, Georgia.
Laura accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She was baptized and joined Shiloh Baptist Church where she attended worship service regularly until she moved to Washington, D.C. Laura graduated from Nottoway Senior High School in 1976 and went on to attend Strayer College. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with Honors in 1981. She was also gainfully employed by the college. She received her Certified Public Accounts License in 1987. She attended Rhema Bible Training Center and graduated in 1995. She became an Ordained Minister in 2012. She was a Financial Consultant and the proud owner of her own business.
She leaves to cherish her mother, Vivian B. Batson (Wendell), a devoted son, Kwame M. Grimes of Marietta, Georgia, Eight aunts - Justine Elliott of Hyattsville, Maryland; Roberta Gregory of Baltimore, Maryland; Ella Norris of Washington, D.C.; Barbara Casey (Alexander) of Baltimore, Maryland; Grace Rhodes (Joseph) of Blackstone, Virginia; Bernice Booth of Blackstone, Virginia; Ruth Hinson of Baltimore, Maryland; Ida Frazier of Richmond, Virginia; Two uncles - Richard Booth (Maggie) of District Heights, Maryland and Wesley Booth (Shirley) of Baltimore, Maryland; her cousin like a sister, Annette Booth Franklin (Philip) of Nolanville, Texas and a host of cousins and friends.
