Obituary for Laura Ann Hill
Laura Ann Hill (Mama/Nannie) 72 of Amelia, Virginia went on to eternal rest on January 16, 2021, at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born on February 21, 1948 in Amelia, Virginia to Georgia Ann Cousins and the late James Cousins.
She attended Russell Grove School. She joined Promise Land Baptist Church at an early age and attended until her health declined.
Laura was a baker at Walmart, and for many years she was a housekeeper for the Thackers. Nannie (Laura) loved to sew, cook, go fishing and cutting up with her children and grandchildren.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, two sons and two daughters: Floyd Hill (Kim) of Blackstone, Virginia, William Hill (Tabitha), Jacqueline Booker (Darryl Sr.) and Charlotte Booker (Matthew) all of Amelia, Virginia. She also leaves to cherish her memories, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; a loving mother, Georgia Ann Cousins; four brothers and two sisters: James Cousins, Jr. (Janet), Jessie Cousins (Gwen), William Booker, Sr, Nathaniel Booker, Christine Royal (Paul) and Ella Mae Mohamed, all of Amelia, Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Service and Interment: Graveside - Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 11am at Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
