Obituary for LaShaunda Marie Coles
On January 9th, 2020, LaShaunda Marie Coles departed her life in Richmond, Virginia. LaShaunda was educated by the Nottoway County Public Schools. She also attended the Job Corp in Fishersville, VA, and also, she earned her nursing aid certificate. LaShaunda had a heart for working with the elderly population in their home. She was employed by a number of home health care agencies, where all of her patients loved her personality. She truly had a gift for this work!
LaShaunda loved her family, and she had a way of making jokes and telling the funniest stories that would have all laughing uncontrollably! LaShaunda is preceded in death by her father, Bishop Caliph E. Coles, and her son, Aiden Christopher Coles.
LaShaunda leaves to cherish her memories: a loving and devoted mother: Mollie S. Coles of Blackstone, VA; one brother: Leroy J. Coles (Jo Ann) of Williamsburg, VA; a sister: Deneitra Whitaker (Joe) of Blackstone, VA. Two nieces: Kimberly Coles-Taft (Josh) and LeAnne Coles of Williamsburg, VA. Three nephews: Joe Whitaker III, Jamar Coles, and Caliph Whitaker of Blackstone, VA;
Also, birth-mother: August Jones (Tony) of Richmond, VA; Two sisters: Ja’Mona Bryant and Shyvida Felder of Richmond, VA. Two nephews: Jer’Von Brown, and Jaycee Mosley of Richmond, VA.
LaShaunda also leaves a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
Funeral Services Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Pentecost Church of God in Christ, Blackstone. Interment Pentecost Church of God in Christ, Victoria.
