Obituary for Lamont M. Chambers
Lamont Marquise Chambers entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the age of 32 at Centra Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, Virginia. Lamont was born at Orange Memorial Hospital in Orange, New Jersey to Teresa Ann Mavin and Lamont Chambers.Â
At the early age of 10, Lamont gave his life to the Lord as he was baptized at "The Church of the Living God '' located in Newark, New Jersey. Lamont attended Malcom X. Shabazz High school in Newark, New Jersey and obtained his high school diploma in 2009. While furthering his education Lamont attended Essex County Community College in Newark, NJ.
Lamont was employed with 'Culinariart' as a food service supervisor based out of Fort Pickett, Virginia. Lamont was very smart and crafty however his greatest hobbies included writing and recording music and spending time with loved ones.
Lamont leaves to cherish his memories: His mother Teresa Mavin and father Lamont Chambers; A loving and devoted girlfriend of 11 years, Tiera Reavis; two children, Sincere Chambers and Jakayla Anderson; three Godchildren, JeSiah Reavis, Messiah Reavis and Jasmire Wilson; two brothers, Marcus Mavin of Richmond, VA and Grayson Chambers; two sisters, Shomonique Lucas (Bashir) of Montclair, NJ, and Talia Kearney of Farmville, VA; six nephews Shyheim Oliver, Bashir Lucas Jr., Zaquin Moses, Zaylyn Moses, Tavares Williams Jr. and Isaiah Mavin; four Nieces Skylar Lucas, Yayonnce Moses, Ya'mira Moses, and Anayss Mavin and a host of family and friends from both New Jersey and Virginia.Â
Viewing Friday, January 28, 2022 from 1 to 7PM. Funeral Service Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Blackstone. Interment church cemetery.
