Obituary for LaKisha Knight
LaKisha Shantise Knight “Tee Tee”, daughter of Reba K. Berkley and the late Alvin “Hootley” Knight, was born September 30, 1980.  Our beautiful Angel departed this life on the morning of October 21, 2015.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Renaldo “Rico” Grant and Ricky Knight; and stepfather, Lewis Berkley.
Tee Tee received her education from the Nottoway County School System.  After graduating, she received her CNA certification and worked in the Nottoway and Newport News areas.
Tee Tee received Christ at an early age.  She was initially a member of Union Baptist Church but later, along with her daughter, joined Fourth Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Crewe, VA.
In her teenage years, Tee Tee loved to do hair.  Her profound talent earned her 2nd place in a hair competition at the Virginia State Fair.
Tee Tee was a people person.  She loved everyone she came in contact with.  She was a devoted friend and would go out of her way to help anyone.  “Punkin”, as she referred to everyone, would leave you in tears from her jokes and sense of humor.
Tee Tee leaves to cherish her precious memory:  her babies that she loved so much, ReNalyia Knight and Deveon Foster of Crewe, VA; her mother, Reba K. Berkley of Newport News, VA; step-mother, Pearl Knight of Crewe, VA; three brothers Mercedes and Siyani Knight of Crewe, VA and Thaddeus McCain of Burkeville, VA; two sisters, Barbara Berkley and Hermenia (Artric) Tucker of Blackstone, Va; three aunts, Sandra Justice of Newport News, VA, Barbara Faulk of Crewe, VA and Celeste (Fred) Lewis of Maryland; two uncles Matthew Knight of Crewe, VA and Warren Knight of Philadelphia, PA; two great aunts, Ida Rather and Thelma Rather of Crewe, VA; eight nephews; two nieces; devoted “Aunts”, Edith (Merrial) Shelton and Daisy “Margo” (Frank) Seward; devoted best friend, Tiarna “Suga” Bland of Crewe, VA; and a host of cousins and friends.
