Obituary for Kiam R. White
On April 12, 1999, Kiam Ray’Quan White was born to Precious Morris and Willie Lawson, Jr. He departed this life suddenly on Tuesday, September 19, 2017.

Kiam graduated from Dinwiddie High School with the class of 2017. He was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church, where he served as a Junior Usher, and loved rendering his services in any way he could.

Kiam loved having those Friday burn outs with his Dinwiddie Country Boys. He enjoyed spending time with his PaPa, even helping him cut grass, and those long one on one talks with his NaNa about life. Kiam lived a full life, exploring and enjoying the outdoors, hunting with the Elders and going to turkey shoots (he was an excellent marksman). He also enjoyed sharing moments of mechanic work with LJ and Larry, debating with his Aunt Elaine and Mario about his famous Dallas Cowboys being the best football team. Kiam shared a special bond with his Uncle Derrick, he enjoyed those winter snow nights riding in the dump truck clearing the highways. Kiam enjoyed everyday life with his 612 family and friends.

Kiam was preceded in death by a grandmother, Patricia Hawkes; grandfather, Charles Elder; great grandparents, Alfred and Mary White, Sr., Jimmie and Elizabeth Lawson and George and Martha Hawkes.

Kiam’s spirit will forever dwell in the hearts of his mother, Precious (James) Morris of Dinwiddie, VA; father, Willie (Connie) Lawson, Jr. of Blackstone, VA; a brother Willie Lawson, III of Blackstone, VA; three step-sisters, Ketoria Gregory of Blackstone, VA, Bianca Ruffin of Bladensburg, MD and Azhane Epps of Dinwiddie, VA; grandparents, Alfred and Charlena White, Jr. of Blackstone, VA; Willie and Sheryl Lawson, Sr. of Blackstone, VA; grandmother, Francina Morris of Dinwiddie, VA; great grandparents Howard and Corine Miller of Blackstone, VA; god-mother, Marcella White of Blackstone, VA; six aunts, Angela Hawkes, Vernette Lawson, Alaine (Derrick) Booker, Crystal Abbott and Christina Abbott, all of Blackstone, VA and Adriana Hamlin of Amelia, VA ; four uncles, Milton (Lakeisha) Lawson, Linwood (Angela) Lawson, Brandon Lawson all of Blackstone, VA and Wallace Morris of Petersburg, VA; one god-sister, Amarea Wells of Blackstone, VA; four god-brothers, Mario White and Raheem Bragg of Blackstone, VA, Marquis Smith and Willice ‘Bam’ White IV of Dinwiddie, VA; a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends whom he loved dearly. Kiam touched each of them in his own special way.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Nottoway Middle School Auditorium.
