Obituary for Judson R. Jefferson
Judson Robert Jefferson, lovingly known as “Geek” to some and “Butch” to many was born the sixth child of Gertrude Jefferson on June 8, 1956 in Nottoway County.
He was a born again child of Christ.  He joined Good Hope Baptist Church in Jetersville, VA.  He shared his essence through the drums that he played at Pilgrim Baptist Church,  which gave him peace.  Butch was a highly skilled fisherman, hunter, gardener, fast car lover, and chef that loved all things in life.  He enjoyed entertaining others and in his spare time he loved to watch old Westerns.
He attended school in Nottoway County and afterwards proceeded to work at Piedmont Geriatric Hospital for 14 years as a cook in food services.  He was passionate about his work and those he worked with.  He even taught his skill of cooking to others.
Butch entered eternal rest on Monday, November 3rd at St. Francis Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia.
The branches of his tree consist of all the leaves that did not fall too far. Butch is preceded in death by his much loved daughter Marjessa Jefferson Anderson and eldest brother Charlie Jefferson (Nip).
Butch leaves to cherish his memory: his mother Gertrude Jefferson; three grandchildren, Douglas, Khalil, and Cheyenne;  three sisters, Gretchen, Mary and Amy (Muff); brother, Frankie (Magaline); devoted ex-wife, Elaine Jefferson; beloved friend, Mary Lewis; his best buds, Lawrence (Junie) King, Mike Stith, Antwan and Lee Cleveland; and a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and many very special friends.
