On Monday, December 23, 2013, the life of Joseph L. Williams unfolded the last chapter in the book of life, he has advanced from labor to reward. He was born April 8, 1960 to James and Mollie Williams of Burkeville (they both preceded him in death).
He was educated in the Nottoway County public schools.  He has worked at various jobs, the last one was for the Prince Edward County Landfill.
He leaves to cherish his memory:Â four sisters, Hattie Divens of Rice, VA, Barbara Diggs (Michael) of Farmville, VA, Mable Dodson (David) of Blackstone, VA and Vanessa Carroll (Charles) of Fayetteville, NC; three brothers, James Williams of Richmond, VA, Alvin Williams of Burkeville, VA and Russell Williams of Prospect, VA; three brothers-in-law; seventeen nieces and nephews; cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home, Blackstone with interment in the Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
