Obituary for Joseph Adams
Joseph Adams crossed over to an everlasting life at the Thomas John Medical Center in Richmond, VA early Monday morning. He was born June 15, 1927 to the late Sallie and Isaac Adams.
Joe was educated in the Amelia County School System. He joined the Union Branch Baptist Church at an early age.
He was employed in the logging business and lived in Fredericksburg for the majority of his adult life.
Preceding him in death are four siblings, Isaac Adams, Edith Dickerson, Rosa Royal and Lelia Patton.
He leaves to celebrate his life:Â a loving and devoted sister, Julia Coleman; a goddaughter, Shirley Chaukley; two step brothers, Bernard and Luther Johnson; two devoted nephews, Archer Royal and Martin Dickerson; two devoted nieces, Edith Holcomb and Lucille Monroe; grandchildren; great grandchildren; with a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Michael W. Hawkes Funeral Home, 15001 Patrick Henry Highway, Amelia with interment to follow in the Coleman Family Cemetery, Jetersvillle.
