Obituary for Jessie H. Malloy
Jessie Hamlin Malloy, 98 passed away at her residence in Petersburg, VA on January 8, 2018. She was lovingly known to family and friends as “Mama Jessie”.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Malloy; three brothers Kunnie Hamlin, Frankie Hamlin and Robert Hamlin; three sisters Bertha Garnett. Lurlene Goodwyn and Edith Spicely; one daughter Joyce Johnson; one grandson Gary Gholson.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted daughter Zenorbia Goode of Petersburg, VA; two sons, Haywood Hardy (Sherry) of Ford, VA and Robert Hardy (Shirley) of Blackstone, VA; one sister Dorothy Hawkins of Petersburg, VA; eleven grandchildren, Beratta Johnson, Millicent Johnson, Gail Dudley of Brooklyn, NY, Hugh Johnson of Ford, VA, Shawn Johnson of Petersburg, VA, Tremaine Hardy, Roderick Hardy (Melissa) of Ford, VA, Bess Dugger (Derick) of Blackstone, VA, Keisha Hardy of Blackstone, VA, Christin Hardy of Richmond, VA, Michael Tucker (Jacqueline) of Maryland; nineteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Ford. Interment Dinwiddie Memorial Park, Petersburg.
