Obituary for Jermaine R. Coleman
On the morning of March 29, 1978, Joyce Ramona and William Author Coleman, Sr. were blessed with their third son, Jermaine Ramon Coleman.
Jerry gained his life’s knowledge and wisdom by way of the school of hard knocks and Largo High School, and continued his education in the field he loved most, computer programming and video game design.
When he wasn’t being a computer whiz or gaming-god, he was a devoted son and loving brother, living these last four years as the primary caretaker of his mother in Mableton, GA, outside of Atlanta. On November 22, 2009, Jerry’s heart had given all the love and life it had to give.
In addition to his mother and father, he leaves to cherish his memory and continue his legacy: his grandmother, Mary A. Doswell of Burkeville, VA; siblings, William A. Coleman, Jr. of Kenbridge, VA, and Jarvis R. Coleman of Jacksonville, FL; devoted friend, Sauve Sonkey of Atlanta, GA; uncles, Robert M. Doswell of Washington, DC, Wilbur Coleman, Alvin Cooper and John Berkley; aunts, Rose Coleman of Alberta, VA, Joyce Lewis of Alberta, VA, Gladys Cooper of Lake Mary, FL, and Selma Berkley of Alberta, VA; nephews, J.T. Coleman, Jaz Coleman, Guillermo Coleman, Shawn Coleman, and Jordan Coleman; niece, Karaya Coleman; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Monday, November 30, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Hawkes Funeral Home Chapel, Blackstone with private burial.
W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home of Blackstone in charge of the arrangements.
