Obituary for Jeanette "Beck" Coleman
Ms. Jeanette Rebecca “Beck” Coleman was born on November 14, 1934, to Junious and Celestine Coleman. She departed this life on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital in Midlothian, VA.

Beck attended Nottoway County Public Schools. She gave her life to the Lord at an early age and joined Manassa Hill Baptist Church in Amelia, VA where she served as a faithful usher until she changed membership to Restoration Church, Amelia, VA where she was the Mother of the Church until her health began to fail. Afterwards, Beck became a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church, Blackstone, VA., and remained a member until the time of her death.

Beck was self employed as a domestic care worker for many years. She enjoyed buying gifts and placing them under the Christmas tree for everyone close to her family. She was also a devoted Redskins fan. In recent months Beck was cared for by her loving daughter and grand-daughter Angie and LaCretia.

Beck was preceded in death by her son, Howard Coleman, her mother and father, three sisters and three brothers: Mary, Frances, Ernestine, Harold, Henry and Lynn.

She leaves to cherish her life and fond memories to twelve children: Reverend Jimmy Coleman (Reverend Gloria) of Amelia, VA, Helen Thompson (James) of Amelia, VA, James Roger Coleman (Ethel) of Blackstone, VA, Wilbert Coleman (Carolyn) of Blackstone, VA, Jesse Coleman (Louise) of Blackstone, VA, Jackie Bowler (Jerry) of Green Bay, VA, Juanita Woodley (Frank) of Amelia, VA, Diann Curtis of Blackstone, VA, Angie Marshall (Vernon) of Blackstone, VA, Darlene Coleman of Blackstone, VA, Harriet Lawrence of Blackstone, VA, and Corey Coleman (Minister LaTonya) of Crewe, VA; twenty grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Coleman of Amelia, VA; god-daughter, Janacis Banks; two special nieces: Orelane Hayes and Gladys Wilson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing Friday, May 6, 2022 from 12 to 7PM. Funeral Service Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at Nottoway High SChool, Crewe.Interment Cedar Hill Baptist Church, Blackstone.
