Obituary for James R. Walker
James Richard Walker departed this life on February 5, 2013 at Centra Southside Hospital in Farmville, VA. Son of the late Cornelius and Lillie Walker, he was born April 30, 1925.
James attended school in Lunenburg County. He worked in construction for many years until he retired.
James had a wonderful heart and spirit. All who came in contact with him loved that about him.
James love music and loved to dance; and could dance! He attended church in Blackstone and Crewe until his health failed him.
James leaves to cherish his memory:Â his devoted wife Esther (Jennette) Walker; sons, William Walker, Archie Dodson, Marlon Walker, Lawrence (Sylinda) Walker, Richard Walker, and Mark Walker; daughters, Lillie Mae Shuler, Barbra Davis and Betty Walker; grandchildren, James Michael Walker, Bryant Walker, Michael Gregory, Michael Hawkes, Draper Hawkes, Shelita Walker, William Walker, Jr., Samuel Walker, Leslie Palmer, Travis Booker, Archie Dodson, Jr., Christopher Walker, Jasmine Walker, Destiny Walker, Allen Walker, Chris Walker, Kelly Walker, Jamar Davis, Levar Davis, Rychene Gaines; twenty-three great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
