Obituary for James M. Dagner, Jr.
James Monroe Dagner, Jr., affectionately known as “Bob” and “Uncle Bob” departed this life on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 11:45 am. After a brief illness at his home. He was born on September 3, 1937 to James and Elizabeth Dagner. He was the third of five children.
James graduated from Luther H. Foster High School. He was employed by Kenbridge Tobacco Company in Kenbridge, VA and Taylor Ramsey of Blackstone, VA.
James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Elizabeth Dagner and his siblings, Mary Lou, Linwood and Creasie.
James leaves to cherish his memories: his loving sister and caregiver, Mabel Gee; niece, Veronica; nephew, Gerald; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends.
Funeral Services Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 2:00 at Mt. Gazerine Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment in the church cemetery.
