Mr. James Jones, son of Henry and Maude Jones was born on January 19, 1919 in Arvonia, VA. He departed this life on June 17, 2009 in Richmond, VA.
James served in the United States Army and was honorable discharged.
He was preceded in death by his wife Edith Jones and three sons, Henry, Tommy and Donald Jones.
He is survived by his children, Lillian Revels of Staten Island, NY; George Overton Jones of Chesterfield, VA; Eddie Louis Jones of Upper Marlboro, MD; Harold Vernel Jones of Gladstone, VA; Bobby Leonard Jones of Los Angeles, CA; Myrtle Marie Jones of Richmond, VA; Michael Oneal Jones of Richmond, VA; other relatives and friends.
Family and friends will meet for a Memorial Service Monday, June 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Michael W. Hawkes Funeral Home, 15001 Patrick Henry Highway, Amelia, VA with interment at 3:00 p.m. at the Amelia Veteran Cemetery, Amelia.
