Obituary for James H. Randall
Peacefully on March 1, 2014
James Henry Randall made his transition from earth to eternal glory.  James, son of the late Lewis and Matilda Wilkerson Randall, of Amelia County was born June 2, 1923.
James was educated at Truxillo School. He joined the Union Branch Baptist Church. James joined the United States Navy, and was a World War I Veteran. He received an Honorable Discharge as a Seaman First Class on January 5, 1946.
James retired from Piedmont Geriatric Hospital. He enjoyed hunting and working in the garden. His favorite hangout was Busic Service Station.
James leaves to cherish his precious memories:Â a long time friend, Polly Mitchell; a friendly neighbor for life, Bernice Wingo; his son, Kenneth Hawthorne; grandson, Kendrick Pegram; sisters, Geneva Ward, Marjorie Randall and Florence Moore; brothers, Lester (Thelma), and Richard (Ruth); nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. James H. Randall will be Friday, March 7, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Union Branch Baptist Church, Amelia with interment in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia.
