Obituary for James H. Lee
On Sunday, January 4, 2015, James (Jimmy) Lee departed his earthly home for the home of his Heavenly Father. His labor on earth was done and it was now time to rest.
Jimmy was born in Crewe, VA to the late Jack Lee and Fannie Scott Lee. He later moved to Forest, VA where he attended St. John Baptist Church and received his education in the Bedford County School System.
Jimmy later relocated to Baltimore, MD where his passion for automobiles led him into the field of auto repair.
Jimmy met and married Evelyn Ford in Baltimore, MD in February, 1964.
Jimmy continued to work in auto repairs and eventually opened his own auto repair shop. He was a fun loving person with a zest for life. He made friends wherever he went.
Jimmy was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Venable, Herman Venable and David Lee; and one sister, Ida Fitzpatrick. He leaves to mourn: his wife, Evelyn; stepdaughter, Debra Ford, Trinetta Gulbronson (Steve) whom he reared as a daughter. In addition he is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Young of Allentown, PA and Mattie Hall of Bedford, VA; one brother-in-law, William Campbell of Crewe, VA; two grandchildren, Brittney Williams and Joshua Gulbronson; one great grandson, Amir Fitzgerald; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m.
