Obituary for James F. Robinson
James Fletcher Robinson, son of the late James and Alvesta Robinson was born on March 3, 1942. He departed this life on December 28, 2008 at the Chancellor Avenue Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Irvington, NJ.
He joined the Macedonia Baptist Church in Burkeville, VA at an early age. Upon graduating from Luther H. Foster High School, he journeyed to Newark, NJ to seek employment, and there he made his home.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Carletha Robinson; three sons, Gary, Brian and Keith Robinson; one granddaughter; one grandson; two sisters, Lanette (Lawrence) and Audrey (Gregg); two nephews, Patrick and Marcus Gregg; one niece, Adrienne Harris; a devoted and caring friend, Yolanda James; other relatives and friends.
“Shot” loved the life he lived and he lived the life he loved. He
made no excuses for his life. So we pray that he has found his peace.
Funeral Services Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Hawkes Funeral Home Chapel, Blackstone with interment in the Jackson Family Cemetery, Crewe.
