James Franklin Brown, 71, of Amelia, Virginia entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital. “Frank” as he was affectionately called by family and friends was born November 10, 1952 to Joseph “Joe” Brown Sr. and Mary V. Brown.
Frank attended Amelia County Public schools. At an early age he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, was baptized at Branches Runn Baptist Church.
As a young man Frank seeked adventure which lead to his travels up and down the east coast. He finally settled in Apopka, Florida and called it home until 2015. During his time in Apopka, Frank worked as a laborer harvesting fruit, landscaping and roofing. In his leisure time while enjoying a cold beverage and cigarette he listened to music and watched western and horror movies. He enjoyed the outdoors as well riding bikes and fishing.
Frank was proceeded in death by his parents Joseph Sr. and Mary Brown; Brothers Joseph “Junie” Brown Jr. and Ronnie Brown.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: his daughter Sheena Mae Reyes (Adrian Sr.); three grandchildren Adrian Jr., Aire’ Ameer and Aaden. Sisters, Flossie Crawley (Samuel deceased), Mable Goodson (Thaddeus) and Annie Pegram (Maurice). Brothers; Melvin Brown and Charles Brown (Shirley). Two Aunts Myrtle Scott (William deceased) and Sadie (Thomas); a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other devoted friends.
