Obituary for James E. Rudd, Jr.
James Rudd was born on March 20, 1943. Affectionately known as “Jimmy” to family and friends was born in Kenbridge Va. He transitioned peacefully on October 19, 2020
James was educated in Lunenburg County School Sys. From that point he worked at the tobacco factory,Lea Industry and Marble Plant in Kenbridge VA.
James moved to Baltimore where he went to school for automobile maintenance and worked to the age of 51, he then suffered a massive stroke which caused him to retire early. After that James moved to back to Kenbridge Va spending most of his time taking care of home, cutting grass and taking care of his dogs until 2006. James moved to Baltimore Maryland to live with his son Anthony and family in 2006.
James enjoyed hanging out with friends and family on the weekends, trips to the beach, spending time with his “boys” grandsons Aj and Taran . James enjoyed cooking, working on his vehicles during the weekends. James also enjoyed watching football listening to talk radio and sitting outside enjoying the weather.
James leaves to cherish his memory, five children: James Rudd, Corey Rudd, Anthony Rudd Sr.(Tara),Patricia Scott (Robert) and Valarie Rudd. Six grandchildren: Tymicka Hite, Shaneka Hite, Anthony Rudd Jr., Taran Rudd, Mya Alexander, Cayden Rudd. One great grandchild: Josiah Johnson: Five Siblings: Ethel Gunter, Julius Rudd (Viola), Cornelia Gregory (Leroy), Clifton Rudd (Edith), Loretta Callahan (Horace) as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.
James was preceded in death by his parents James Sr. and Doretta Rudd and one Brother in- law Charles Gunter.

Funeral Services Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Hawkes Funeral Home Chapel, Blackstone. Interment private
