Obituary for James E. Green
James Edward Green entered into eternal rest on October 15, 2019. He was born April 4, 1937 in Blackstone, Virginia to the late John Luther Green and Ritchetta Friend Green. He was one of ten siblings and is preceded in death by, Julia Josephine Anderson, Martha Hawkes, Pocahantas Fitzgerald, Annie Smith, Willie Green, Wilson Green and Shirley Mitchell.
James accepted Christ into his life and joined the Spring Hill Baptist Church at a young age.
James was preceded in death by his loving wife, Julia Vaughan Green and his son, Leroy Charles Green, Sr. He leaves his love and memories to his daughter, Yolanda Lewis; grandson, Leroy Green, Jr. (Amy); two sisters, Leola Pritchett and Lillie R. Cragg; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Monday, October 21, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Baptist Church, Blackstone. Interment church cemetery.
