JAMES E. EANES, age 78, surrounded by his loving family entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the Amelia Nursing Home, Amelia, VA. He was born on November 20, 1933 in Nottoway County, VA to John and Lottie Eanes.
James was educated in the Nottoway County Public School System. He was baptized at an early age at Fourth Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
James droved various trucks for approximately forty-seven years before retiring. He had a love for fishing, hunting and baseball, which he shared with many.
James was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Louise and a brother, John.
James leaves to cherish his memory: his sisters, Doris and Lois; a brother, Charles; children, James Fowlkes of Blackstone, Ricky Watson of Amelia, Stephen Lafayette (Janice), Lillian and Collette of Crewe; numerous grand and great grandchildren; two devoted nieces, Sharon and Denise; two devoted great nephews, Micheal and DeQuan; and a host of neighbors, family and friends.
Funeral Services Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Fourth Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Crewe with interment in the Eanes Family Cemetery.
