Jacqueline “Ree” Abbott, 42 entered into eternal peace on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at her home in Kenbridge, Virginia. Ree was born June 18, 1971 to Virginia Dailey Abbott and the late John Abbott in Richmond, VA.
Ree received her education in the Nottoway County Public School System. She was employed at the Fort Pickett Army base for a while in housekeeping.
Ree loved to wear expensive gowns and party with her devoted friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Abbott; her grandparents, Louise and John Dailey and Carrie and Ward Abbott; her sister, Madeline Abbott Sumpter; and a brother, Carl Abbott.
Ree leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her life-long friend and companion, William Edmonds of Kenbridge, VA; her mother, Virginia Dailey Abbott of Blackstone, VA; her four children, Christopher, Antonio, Jenaova and Davante Abbott, all of Blackstone, VA; her sisters, Gladys Anderson (Roscoe) of Blackstone, VA, Lisa Parham of Disputanta, VA, Ernestine Abbott Tucker of Blackstone, VA and Shirley Hardy of Blackstone, VA; her brothers, Carter, Kenneth, Waverly, Leon and Ernest Abbott all of Blackstone, VA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
Services for Ms. Jacqueline "Ree" Abbott will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Blackstone with interment in the Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
