Obituary for Ducky
In the late evening of Wednesday, April 19, 2023, our beloved, sister, auntie and friend entered eternal rest at her home in Amelia, Virginia.
Inez Elizabeth Coleman, affectionately known as “Ducky” was born February 8, 1965, to the late Jane Coleman.
Ducky attended Amelia County High School and graduated in 1983. She went on to work for Ukrops Supermarket for numerous years. Her love of warm weather drew her to Florida where she worked for some time in housekeeping at a hotel. When she returned to Virginia, she worked various jobs such as security guard, short order cook and even getting her CDL in order to drive a tour bus in Richmond. Most recently she worked as a domestic worker. She was very versatile!
Ducky shared her love with many. She was truly a free spirit. No one was a stranger to Ducky. She would do whatever she could for anybody.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Coleman, brothers, John, Abraham, James, Jerome, and sister Sarah Coleman Baker.
She leaves precious memories to: five sisters, Gladys Wilson, Orelane Hayes, Rosa Baker, Pontgine Archer and Shirley Jefferson. One brother, Alton Coleman (Deneen). Sisters-in-law Carol and Lisa. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. A devoted friend, Elihu Booker.
