Obituary for Horace L. Eppes
Horace “Toul” Eppes departed this life on September 17, 2009 at MCV Hospital. He was born on August 7, 1963 in Burkeville, Virginia. He was the son of the late James and Arlene Eppes of Burkeville, Virginia.
He was educated in Nottoway County Public Schools. He attended Yielding Zion Baptist Church at a younger age. He enjoyed umpiring baseball games and watching other children play softball and baseball games.
“Toul” was loved by everyone. He was a caring and sensitive person. If he could help you in anyway, he would be there for you. He would always try to make you smile, laugh and cry at times.
He leaves to cherish his memories, daughter, Tiffany; two sisters, Dorothy Downs (Cato) of Chesterfield, VA, and Felicia Taylor (Thomas) of Chesterfield, VA; one brother, Samuel Eppes of Burkeville, VA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. A very special and devoted friend Catherine was there to comfort him during his journey.
Services Monday, September 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Yielding Zion Baptist Church, Burkeville with interment in the Coleman Family Cemetery, Burkeville.
