Obituary for Herbert "Slick" Crawley, Jr
During the early morning on Sunday, January 19, 2020, Herbert E. Crawley, Jr., made the transition from his family and friends to a place of everlasting peace with his father in Heaven.
Herbert, affectionally known as “Slick”, was born on October 24, 1977 to Herbert E. Crawley, Sr. (deceased) and Joan J. Crawley.
Herbert was educated in the Prince Edward County School system. At an early age, he was baptized and joined the High Rock Baptist Church. He was employed by the Masonamic Construction company where he enjoyed his job.
“Slick” was a very loving, caring, happy, and family oriented young man who touched the lives of many, many people. He loved to follow in the footsteps of his dad by being an avid drag racing fan. He also was a diehard Redskins supporter.
Left to cherish his memories are: his loving mother, Joan Crawley; children, Adashya Crawley, Jamarion Crawley, Hasan Crawley, and Ja’Khel Crawley; sister, Demetria Johnson; brother, Durand Branch; a special niece, Monay Johnson; nephew, DaQuan Johnson; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Services: Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 11am at the Fireman's Sports Arena, Farmville, VA.
Internment: Trinity Memorial Garden, Rice, VA.
