Herbert McKinley Foster departed this life May 12, 2013 at 7:15 p.m. in Glen Allen, VA.
Herbert was born May 30, 1929, to Charlie Moore and Eleanor Bland Foster. After his mother passed, his father remarried Adelle Allen Foster. Herbert attended Fergusonville School and joined Fourth Mount Zion Baptist Church at an early age. He met and married Rebecca B. Foster in 1954. To this union, five children were born: Blanche (Ernest Laury), Eleanor Foster, Joyce (Samuel Turner), and Jacqueline (Harry Mitchell). He was proceeded in death by his daughter Ida F. Ward.
He also leaves to cherish his memories sisters Maggie C. Miles of Baltimore, Maryland and Ruth Stewart and brother Reverend Willie Foster of Crewe, Virginia. Brothers and sisters deceased are Charlie Foster, Jr., Harold Foster, Pearl Vaughn, Robert Foster, Ernest Foster, and Bobby Bell.
Funeral services for Mr. Herbert McKinley Foster will be conducted at Dominion Worship Center of Crewe, Virginia, on May 18, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Nathaniel Jones, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Foster Family Cemetery, Crewe, VA.
