Obituary for Helen Marie Robinson
Helen Marie Robinson (Penny) departed this life on June 14, 2009. She was born September 6, 1943 to Mary Elizabeth Threatt and the late Norman Threatt.
She graduated from Russell Grove High School and later married her high school sweetheart, the late Herman Robinson, Jr.
Helen worked thirty-two years as a paraprofessional for Amelia County Public Schools, during which time she earned an Associates Certificate from J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College.
Her favorite things in life were serving God, spending time with her family and spoiling her grand kids.
She leaves behind a loving mother, Mary Threatt; a son, Sherman L. Robinson and wife, Mari; daughters, Gale M. Robinson and friend, Antoine, Gwen R. Turner and Husband, Kenneth; three grandchildren, Chander Robinson, Ebony Robinson and Christian Robinson; one sister, Dorothy Threatt; six brothers, Lawrence Threatt, William Threatt and wife Alma, Thomas Wade Threatt, Benjamin Threatt and wife Wendy, Robert Threatt and Charles Threatt; sister-in-law, Thelma Robinson Henderson; one very special and devoted friend, Mr. Herbert Henley, Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 1:00 pm in the Amelia County High School Auditorium, Amelia with interment in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, Amelia.
