Helen Green Booker was born October 18, 1929, to the late Bernice and Ruben Green Sr. Helen received Christ at an early age and joined Second Antioch Baptist Church. She loved to sing, play the key board and travel.
Helen was employed at Lady Byrd Hat factory and also at Philip Morris USA for many years where she retired.  Â
Helen departed this life May 9, 2016 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Blackstone, VA, she was a resident of Richmond, VA for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Booker; siblings Ruben Green Jr., Lucy Mills, Evangelist Dorothy Redding, Deaconess Shirley Wade and Deaconess Lula Henderson.
Helen leaves to cherish her memory two sisters Mary Benjamin and Elizabeth Chappell, one brother Willie Green Sr. (Gertrude), sister in- law Ida Booker.
Also left to cherish her memory devoted nieces Belinda Taylor, Loretta Henderson, Rosa Taylor, Delores Smith, Paulette Chappell and Madeline Jackson plus a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Â
Funeral Services for Mrs. Helen Booker will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Second Antioch Baptist Church, Powhatan with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
