Obituary for Hattie E. Robinson
Hattie Estelle Robinson, daughter of the late Granderson and Nannie Wade Robinson was born on August 24, 1933. On Wednesday, November 6, 2013, Hattie peacefully slipped away with the Lord after a lengthy illness.
Hattie returned home to Amelia after spending more than forty years in the Greenburgh/White Plains, New York area. She became in contact with many friends and associates where she worked as a barmaid in various New York state locations. She retired from the state of New York as and adult care specialist after more than fifteen years.
Hattie was preceded in death by her daughter Dawn in 1992. To cherish her memories, she leaves one son, Daryl Patrick (Joan) of Dumfries, VA; two daughters, Gloria Crawley-Durant of Oxon Hill, MD and Alfreda Robinson of Amelia, VA; two grands, Monica Crawley of Bryan Road, MD and David Coleman of Hagerstown, MD; five precious great-grands, Tylah, Bryce, Blayne, Justyn and Jaylen; sisters, Gracie Butler, Ernestine Crews, Marion Royal, Delores Patrick, Ruth Washington, Kathleen Jones (Robert), Jacqueline Perry, Joyce Clay and Nannie M. Owens (Percell); two brothers, William Robinson (Regina) and Louis V. Robinson (Carolyn); one uncle, William H. Robinson (Uncle Hanabe); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Promise Land Baptist Church, Amelia with interment in the church cemetery.
