Obituary for Harold "Snookie" Taylor
On May 10, 1949, Ellen Pearl Taylor gave birth to her third child, HAROLD EDWARD TAYLOR, fondly known as “Snookie”.
He joined Shiloh Baptist Church at an early age. He attended public school in Nottoway County. He later served his country in the United States Army, serving in Vietnam.
“Snookie” lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed being around people, where there was “fun” there was “Snookie”.
On Saturday, September 12, 2009 “Snookie” departed this life at McGuire Hospital in Richmond, VA.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories: his mother, Ellen Pearl Taylor of Blackstone, VA; one daughter, Vernetta “Nita” Jennings and husband James “Poo” Jennings of Blackstone, VA; three grandchildren, Tramaine, Antonio and Tia of Blackstone, VA; one sister, Anna Jesters of Blackstone, VA; one brother, William (Mary) Taylor of Fayetteville, NC; two devoted friends, Sheila Deese and Thomas “Top Cat” Bragg; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
“Snookie” will be missed by a lot of people.
Funeral Services Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 11:00 noon at Virginia United Methodist Assembly Center, with interment in the Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
