Obituary for Griffin Morgan
Griffin Morgan was born August 26, 1919 to the late Wanda Lee Blackwell Morgan and Jimmy Morgan in Nottoway, Virginia.  On Tuesday, November 13, 2012, he departed his life at Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland to be with his Lord and Savior.
During his youth, he joined the Poplar Lawn Baptist Church in Blackstone, Virginia.  Later, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Cleopatra Mason in June 1954.  To this union, a lovely daughter was born, Yvonne.  Griffin was a loving , devoted, and caring person.  He loved to get up early in the morning with the birds, to have coffee and to start working around the house.  He was known affectionately as "Pop Pop".  Pop Pop loved to spend time with his family: he shared a special bond with his grandson (Devon, Sr.), great grandchildren (Dekerra and Devon, Jr.), great nieces (Quinita and Kriscena), and great, great niece and nephew (Jasmine and Jarius).
Griffin was employed with Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore as a steel worker for 36 years until his retirement, in June 1985.
