Obituary for Greta Ann Booth
On Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 5:27 p.m., God called my wife, our mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend home. Greta was born July 6, 1958 and was educated in Brunswick County school system. Greta accepted Christ in her life at an early age at Little Mount Baptist Church.
Greta is preceded in death by her grandmother Frances R. Taylor, two brothers James Wallace Taylor and George Taylor, II.
Greta is survived by her Mother Sallie Ella Creekmore of Blackstone, VA; her husband of 32 years Calvin J. Booth; daughter Bridget Booth of Blackstone, VA; son Marcus Booth of Laurel, MD; two granddaughters Kiajah and Kaniya May of Blackstone, VA; two aunts, Haneefah Shabazz of Philadelphia, PA, and Fanny Taylor of Dundas, VA; two sisters Patricia (Charles) Howard of Fort Washington, MD, and Frances Williams of Blackstone, VA; one brother John (Suzette) Creekmore of Virginia Beach, VA; her mother in law Catherine Booth of Alberta VA, and father in law Paul Booth of Kenbridge, VA; brother in law Paul Booth Jr. (Corine) of Dewitt, VA; one sister in law Marsha (Gradis) Hines of Cary, NC. Greta was raised with extended sisters and brothers to include; Deborah (Maurice) Carter of Palmyra, VA, Anthony (Mary) Taylor of Georgia, Michael (Linda) Taylor of South Hill, VA, Yvonne Taylor of Richmond, VA, Sandra Taylor of Petersburg, VA, Juanita Thompson of Farmville, VA, Ellis Graves of Hampton, VA and Hazel Graves of Petersburg VA. Greta also leaves a host of devoted nephews, nieces cousins, and friends.
Funeral Services Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Little Mount Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment in the Taylor Family Cemetery, Blackstone.
