Obituary for Gale Jerone Banks
GALE JERONE BANKS of Richmond, formerly of Amelia is the daughter of Mary Jane Banks and the late Mike Banks, Jr. After a lengthy illness, she departed this life January 30, 2012 at Chippenham Hospital. She attended Amelia County High School and graduated with the class of 1978. Gale was very active in all sports. She joined Liberty Baptist church at an early age. After moving to Richmond, she would attend her home church whenever she could. Gale’s faith was built on Jesus Blood and righteousness. She would always say “I put my trust in the Lord”. Gale had no fear of life’s obstacles. She had a great sense of humor. She worked at ER Carpenter for over ten years until her health began to fail. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Banks. Gale is survived by her devoted and loving son Jamar Banks of Richmond (his father, Wilton Vaughan of Philadelphia); dedicated mother, Mary Jane Banks, one caring brother, Bernard Banks, two devoted sisters, Sherry and Andrea Banks, all of Amelia, VA; a host of loving nieces, two special, Jamene and Little Zaniyah (Mousie) Banks; devoted nephews, one special, Antwan Banks; a devoted cousin, Karen Moore; and a host of loving aunts, one uncle, other relatives and friends.Funeral Services Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, Amelia with interment in the church cemetery.Michael W.
