Obituary for Frank Jr. Boswell
Frank Boswell, Jr. departed this life on April 24, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center in Midlothian, VA at the age of 69.  He was born on June 29, 1944 to Illinois and Frank Boswell, Sr.
Frank received his education at Southside High School in Dinwiddie County.  At an young age, he accepted Christ in his life and joined the Shiloh Baptist Church, Darvills, VA.  He served and supported the church faithfully until his health began to decline.
Frank devoutly served in many ministries.  He served as President of Shiloh Baptist Church Usher’s Ministry for forty plus years and as president of the Springhill Usher’s Union for a long period of time.  He was a dedicated person in serving the Lord.  As a president he would go and serve anywhere at anytime.
On June 27, 1992, he married Martha Knight and this union was blessed with four children, Carmela, Pam, Johnathan and Charles.
Frank retired from C.F. Marion Trucking Company in 2012.  He was on the road driving trucks for over twenty-three years.  He also drove for Nottoway Lumber and Builders Transport out of Halifax, NC.
Frank lived a life of enjoyment through bowling, traveling and spending quality time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Illinois Boswell and one sister, Sarah Wright, but leaves to cherish precious memories:  his wife Martha; two daughters, Carmela of Blackstone, VA and Pam of Hopewell, VA; two sons, Johnathan (Cassandra) of South Carolina and Charles (Kimberly) of Ford, VA; four grandchildren, Shae Wilbon of Hopewell, VA, Ariana Wilbon of Chesterfield, VA, Julian Boswell of South Carolina and Malcolm Jones of Hopewell, VA; four sisters, Arlene Carroll of Blackstone, VA, Mary Gilcrest of Blackstone, VA, Ida (Morris) Hardy of McKenney, VA and Patsy (James) Knight of Blackstone, VA; sister-in-law, Cynthia (Chester) Parham of Chesapeake, VA; brother-in-law, Eddie Wright of Blackstone, VA; two goddaughters, Veronica Hubbard and J’Na Mason; three devoted friends, Chester Parham, Carl Morgan and Bishop Ernest Farrar, Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 12:00 noon at Shiloh Baptist Church (Dinwiddie) with interment in the church cemetery.
