Obituary for Frances Louise Lee
Frances Louise Coles Lee "LuLu", daughter of the late Cornelius and Sarah Coles was born January 6, 1940 in Henrico County, Virginia. She departed this life on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the Holly Manor Nursing Home, Farmville, Virginia. At an early age Frances accepted Christ and joined the Westwood Baptist Church in Henrico County, Virginia. She attended and was educated in the Armstrong School, Richmond, Virginia.
After her family moved their residence to Amelia County, she moved her membership from Westwood Baptist Church to the Mount Olive Baptist Church where she served as President of the Ushers Ministry for many years.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Fleming Lee on July 6, 1969.
She leaves to cherish her memories:Â her loving and devoted husband, Fleming Lee; a loving foster son, antonio Tucker (Buckey); two loving and devoted nephews, Derrick and Kevin Newby (whom she reared also); two brothers, Robert Coles (Barbara) and Raymond White (Shirley); four sisters, Margaret Harris (Henry), Barbara Lomax (Frank), Sarah Wallace and Adele Newby; devoted cousin, Mrs. Jackie Mills; two brothers-in-law, Hilton Lee (Ruth) and Raymond Lee; four sisters-in-law, Bertha Redd, Dorothy Alley, Kathleen Kirby and Vivian Lee; godmother, Mrs. Mary B. Foster; a host of nieces, nephws, other relatives and many friends, among them, Richard and Edith Holcomb, Janie Royal and Jane Tabb (shopping partner).
The family will receive friends, Friday, September 26 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Michael W. Hawkes Funeral Home, Amelia, VA.
Funeral Services Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Amelia with interment in the Promiseland Baptist Church Cemetery, Amelia.
