Obituary for Florence W. Pegram
With God’s purpose and plans being completed for Florence Woolridge Pegram, on Thursday morning, December 6, 2012, the Angel of the Lord descended and carried her to her eternal home of rest, free from sickness and suffering.
Florence was born November 8, 1952 to the late Jeff and Bessie Woolridge Sr. of Chesterfield, Virginia. She was the youngest among her siblings. Florence was preceded in death by three brothers, Percell Mosby, Richard “Guppy” and Edward “Eddie” Woolridge and one sister, Irene Jordan.
She was educated in the Chesterfield County public school system. She was employed by Crawford Manufacture, Amelia Dress Company and LabCorp, where she was a phlebotomist until her health would no longer allow her to work
She accepted Christ at an early age, was baptized, and joined the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Chesterfield, Virginia. She finished her spiritual calling as a faithful member of the mass choir at Little Bethel Baptist Church, Amelia, Virginia, where she served faithfully.
“Pus”, as affectionately called by her husband, met and fell in love with Henry R. Pegram and they were married June 24, 1972.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Henry R. Pegram; two sons, Terrell (devoted friend Lindsay Estes) and Jamar; three grandchildren, Jerrell, Destiny, and Elijah; five sisters, Ann Harris (Bobby), Mary “Peggy” Evans, Vernelle Price(Corbin), Lula Taylor, Bessie Duplesis (Victor); one brother Jeff Woolridge Jr.; nine brothers-in law; nine sisters-in law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, one devoted Viola “Mink” Williams and friends, one devoted Leverta Patrick.
Funeral Services Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Little Bethel Baptist Church, Amelia with interment in the church cemetery.
