She was united in marriage to Theodore R. Gaffney, Sr., (who preceded her in death) and as a result of this union, she inherited two step-children, Verely Gaffney (now Verely Trent) and Theodore R. Gaffney, Jr. (now deceased); one granddaughter, Deandrea B. Walker; two grandsons, Theodore R. Gaffney, III and Joseph Gaffney-Trent.
She had been consistently active in the church community throughout her adult life.  She became a member of Springhill Baptist Church at a very early age and remained so throughout her life.  She was also very active with her husband’s religious affiliation during her lifetime as well.
She is survived by one daughter, Verely Gaffney Trent; one granddaughter, Deadrea Walker; two grandsons, Theodore R. Gaffney, III and Joseph Gaffney-Trent; other relatives and friends.
