Obituary for Eva B. Edmonds
Ms. Eva B. Edmonds departed this life on August 18, 2009. She was born in Dinwiddie County on September 1, 1941 to the late Ella Carter and Willis Stanley Jones
She attended Dinwiddie County Public Schools. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church, where she served as a choir member until her health failed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joesph I. Edmonds; mother, Ella Carter; father, Willis Stanley Jones; brother, Douglas MacArthur Jones and Grandson, Kenneth Edmonds, Jr.
She is survived by her three sons, Kenneth Edmonds, Jr. (Anna) of Amelia, Joesph Edmonds (Carolyn) and Steve Edmonds (Denise) both of Blackstone; one daughter, Tracy Edmonds of Blackstone; six grandchildren, Donta Robinson, Cordell Booth, Steve Jr., Shariyah, Shatara and Shaquanna all of Blackstone; two sisters, Elenora Clark of Ford and Patricia Clark of Wilson; two brothers, Hollie Carter (Grace) of Washington, D.C. and Tommy Carter of Hopewell, VA.; four sisters-in-law, Margie Mitchell, Patsy Woodley (Thomas), Annette Hawkes (Clinton) and Barbara Jones; one brother-in-law, Robert Edmonds (Lillie Mae) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment at Mt. Level Baptist Church Cemetery, Amelia.
