Obituary for Eugene A. Pettis
Eugene Alexandria Pettis, son of the late Bobby and Rose Pettis, Sr. of Crewe, Virginia was born December 1, 1962. Our Heavenly Father embraced him in his arms in the early hours of Sunday morning, June 4, 2017 at his home.

Eugene was educated in the Nottoway County School System. He accepted Christ at an early age.

Eugene left home at an early age and moved to Washington, DC. He was employed by the Metro Transit System where he worked as a Master Mechanic until his retirement.

His pleasure was racing cars, and he mastered the art of Martial Arts. He was a loving and kind father and his passion was helping others. He will truly be missed by family and friends.

Eugene leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Eugene Holland, Crystal Alexander (Ben) and Herbert Holland; grandchildren, Khristie, Keon’a and Londyn; special friends, Valerie Smith, Denzel, Delonte, Chanel, Clinard and his little sweet heart Chanise (Nene); brothers, Bobby of North Carolina, William of New York and Winston of Washington, DC; sisters, Priscilla, Iris, Wanda and Jackie all of Crewe, Virginia; sister-in-law, Sylvia Pettis; brothers-in-law, Walter and Dennis; five uncles, Dwight, Bobby Danny, Tiny and Gary Tucker of Crewe, Virginia; three aunts, Zippy, Edna and Pat all of Crewe, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

Funeral Services Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at New Poplar Mount Baptist Church, Nottoway. Interment Pettis Family Cemetery, Crewe.
