Obituary for Ethel H Hobbs

Ethel Hobbs, a beacon of joy and faith, gracefully departed this earthly life on November 5, 2024, at the grand age of 89, leaving behind a legacy of love and wisdom that will forever warm our hearts. Born on February 25, 1935, in Blackstone, Virginia, Ethel's life journey eventually led her to Midlothian, where she continued to fill the lives of those around her with warmth and joy.

Ethel was indeed a beautiful soul whose unwavering faith in Christianity was more than a beliefit was the very way she chose to walk through life. Her days were filled with the vibrant harmony of laughter and a nurturing spirit that seemed boundless to all who came in contact with her.

Ethel's presence was like a warm embrace, full of caring gestures that only a deeply wise and kind-hearted woman could offer. Those who knew Ethel know she was unparalleled in her ability to illuminate even the darkest of days with her vivid storytelling. When she spoke, you couldn’t help but be drawn in-her tales were like a precious tapestry, woven with the rich threads of her experiences and love for humanity. Her smile was a ray of sunshine, one that could often be seen paired with her positive outlook on life, a trait that she held dear till the very end.

Preceded by her beloved husband, Talley B. Hobbs, and her dear parents, Robert and Edna Butcher, find comfort in knowing that she has now joined them in eternal peace. Her siblings have similarly gone before her, Margie Johnson, Thelma Duff, and Thomas Butcher all of whom she cherished deeply and missed earnestly.

Ethel Hobbs leaves behind more than a memory; she leaves a legacy of joy, peace, and unwavering faith. Her life taught us the beauty of resilience and the power of kindness, a lesson we shall carry with us, enriched by the wise counsel and gentle presence she so generously shared.
