Obituary for Ethel E. Pinkard
On April 22, 2011, God looked down and asked “Which of my angels will I return unto me?” Without hesitation he chose Ethel Marian Epps Pinkerton; a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Ethel departed this life after a lengthy illness. She was residing in Moses Hospital until her death.
Ethel was the daughter of the late Horace W. Epps and Mary Mertis Epps of Crewe, VA. She was born March 21, 1934. She was the third of 13 children, seven of which preceded her in death.
She was educated in the Nottoway County System. She accepted Christ at an early age. She later moved to Danville, VA where she lived until her death. Ethel was a kind, giving woman who loved the Lord and her Family. She fondly greeted everyone with her contagious smile. She will be sorely missed, but everlasting memories of her will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, who which preceded her in death, Arnold Epps, also Tyrone Epps of Danville, VA; 2 grandchildren, Tyneesha Epps & Tyronne Walters; Daughter-In-Law, Seonda Cummin and Tasha Epps (Tiny); 4 sisters and 2 brothers, Jennie Fitzgerald (George), Ernestine Epps of Baltimore, MD, Rosa Chaffin (Eugene) of Victoria, VA, Paul Epps of Blackstone, VA, Edward Epps (Patricia) of Crewe, VA, and Shirley Epps a devoted sister and caregiver of Naples, Florida; 2 sister-in-laws, Francis Epps of Danville, VA and Margaret Epps of Crewe, VA, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends
