Obituary for Essie E. Mason
Ms. Essie Ethel Mason (73) of Nottoway VA. Departed this life on Thursday May 11th 2017 at Centra Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, Virginia.
Daughter of the late Henry and Leaner Mason, Essie was born January 11, 1944, the last of (4) children to come out of that union.
Essie was baptized at an early age. For the past four years she has been a faithful disciple of Empowering Word Ministry under the spiritual leadership of her son, Pastor Samuel C. Mills Sr., where she rededicated her life to Christ and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ on May 1st 2016.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Samuel (Rebecca) Mills Sr. of Blackstone; one daughter, Pearl D. Mills of Philadelphia; five step-children, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and Friends.
Her infectious smile and caring attitude cause her to be loved by all who made her acquaintance. She was a person who wore her big, giving heart on her sleeve. If she could do anything to help you, she would.

She will be dearly missed by many.

Funeral Services Friday, May 19, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Dominion Worship Center, Crewe. Interment Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
