Ernesto Douglas Valdez is survived and loved by his parents Raul Ernesto Valdez de la Cruz and Candice Desirae Gibson, big brother James Manuel Valdez; paternal grandparents Jose R. Valdez Espinal, Fransisca Reynoso, Editrudis del Rosario de la Cruz, and James H. Haynes; maternal grandparents Douglas Wendell Gibson Sr. and Clarice Foster Gibson; maternal great grandmother Vera Robinson Gibson; Uncle Douglas W. Gibson, Jr., Aunt Kalila Bryant, cousin Jasmine Mitchell, cousin Kadence Gibson; Godparents, many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends, as well as adoring Tias/Aunts, Tios/Uncles, and Primos/Cousins in the Dominican Republic.
He was preceded in death by his paternal great grandparents and maternal great grandparents Wilbert Stanley Gibson, James Edward Foster, and Virginia Barley Foster.
Ernesto was a bundle of joy, always smiling and laughing. Everyone who knew him had so much love for him. His favorite activities included baby talk, being a wiggle worm, tickle time with papi, playtime with mommy, bonding with big brother, and listening to Latin music.
There will be a family viewing on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Â
