ERNESTINE TYLER HURTT was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Robert and Annie Mae Byrd. She suddenly departed this life on March 6, 2010.
She attended Greensville County School. After retiring from Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York, as a nurse, she returned to her home in Crewe, Virginia in 1987.
Ernestine graciously accepted Christ as her personal savior while attending the Dominion Worship Center in Crewe, Virginia. She was a loving and caring person that loved the Lord and people. She had one of many favorite sayings: “It’s Delicious” and “Marvelous.”
She leaves to mourn her loving memories: her son, Alfred Hurtt, Jr. (Virginia) of Crewe, Virginia; one brother, Robert Byrd of North Carolina; four sisters, Delores Hurtt of Crewe, Virginia, Michelle Goodwyn of Richmond, Virginia, Queen Goodwyn and Florine Goodwyn of Jarrat, Virginia; two grandchildren, Tiffany Marably and Tramaine Robertson; six great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
Funeral Services Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 12:00 noon at Dominion Worship Center, Crewe with interment in the Jackson Cemetery, Crewe.
